Disney's Pop Century Resort
The consensus best-value play at Disney World. Pop's giant yo-yos, Rubik's cubes, and eight-track tapes celebrate the decades in cheerful kitsch, but the substance is what sells: fully renovated rooms with queen beds, hard floors, and the coin-flip-winning layouts of the value tier, plus a Skyliner station (shared with Art of Animation) that turns EPCOT and Hollywood Studios trips into a scenic gondola ride instead of a bus slog. The Hippy Dippy pool keeps the sixties theme, the food court covers the bases, and the nightly Everything Pop tie-dye cheesecake has its own fan club. Rooms here regularly price hundreds less per night than moderates with worse transportation. If the budget matters and you'll spend your days in the parks anyway, book Pop and don't look back.
๐๏ธ The Rooms
The rooms quietly became some of the best in the value tier after renovation: bright, modern, with a queen bed plus a fold down murphy queen, vinyl plank floors, and actual storage. They look more expensive than they are. The decades themed buildings mean your walk home passes a four story Big Wheel; 60s buildings sit closest to the lobby and Skyliner bridge.
โจ The Lobby & Grounds
Classic Hall runs a pop culture timeline from bowling pins to 8 tracks, and the courtyards outside celebrate each decade with oversized icons: the Big Wheel, twister boards painted on pavement, a giant Rubik's cube. It is silly and it knows it. The lakeside path across to Art of Animation makes a pleasant evening loop with the Skyliner gliding overhead.
๐ Pools & Recreation
Three themed pools spread across the decades: the Hippy Dippy flower pool is the main one with a kids' splash area, backed by the Bowling Pin and Computer pools for quieter swims. Pool parties and trivia run afternoons. It is simple value resort swimming, clean and cheerful, with towel stations that actually stay stocked.
๐ฝ๏ธ Dining at Pop Century Resort
Everything Pop covers the food court basics with a couple of cult items, the tie dye cheesecake chief among them. The pool bar handles the rest. Like Art of Animation, the Skyliner is the dining cheat code, putting EPCOT's festivals and the Riviera a gondola ride from your room.

๐ Mal's Tips
Request a 60s building and the Skyliner is minutes from your door. This is the resort I recommend when someone wants to do Disney cheaply but well: renovated rooms, real transportation, no compromise that actually hurts. The gap to a moderate's price buys a lot of Dole Whips.
Best for: Skyliner, renovated rooms, best value price point
