Walt Disney World Swan

TBD
Boat🚶 Walkable🚌 Bus

The smaller and quieter half of the famous Swan and Dolphin pair, crowned by the two 47-foot swan statues that give it its name. Run by Marriott under the Westin flag, the Swan sits directly on the EPCOT resorts lake with the same priceless location as its Disney-owned neighbors: a short walk or Friendship boat to EPCOT's back entrance and to Hollywood Studios. Rooms are crisp and modern with Westin Heavenly Beds, and guests share the full Swan and Dolphin campus: more than twenty restaurants and lounges, multiple pools, and the white sand beach. You give up Disney theming but keep early park entry, pay notably less than the Beach Club next door, and can book it all on Marriott points. Watch for the nightly resort fee when comparing prices.

🛏️ The Rooms

Rooms run polished business hotel with Westin's famous Heavenly Beds, the best sleep on property according to a devoted minority of Disney regulars. Balconies on many rooms overlook Crescent Lake or the fireworks in the distance. No bunk beds or castle murals here, and that restraint is exactly what some families want after a day of maximum Disney.

The Lobby & Grounds

Michael Graves designed the Swan and Dolphin as one grand postmodern composition, turquoise waves and giant swan statues facing the Dolphin's fountain across the lake. The lobby is calm, contemporary, and efficient. Outside, the white sand beach on Crescent Lake, the hammocks, and the lakeside path put you three minutes from the BoardWalk's evening bustle.

🏊 Pools & Recreation

The shared Swan and Dolphin pool complex stretches between the two hotels: a huge grotto pool with a waterfall and slide, lap pools, whirlpools, and that beach with its hammocks and paddleboats. It is a legitimate resort pool scene, just themed to vacation rather than to a story, and it rarely feels as slammed as Stormalong Bay next door.

🍽️ Dining at Walt Disney World Swan

The Swan side holds Il Mulino for Italian and Kimonos for late night sushi and karaoke, and the shared campus adds Shula's, Todd English's bluezoo, and the Fountain's burgers and shakes. Then the kicker: the BoardWalk, the Yacht and Beach Club restaurants, and all of World Showcase are on foot. Few addresses anywhere eat this well.

🎀 Mal's Tips

Marriott points and status work here, which can turn this into the cheapest walk to EPCOT that exists. You skip Disney perks like free resort parking but keep early entry, so read the perk list before booking. Kimonos karaoke after fireworks is a Crescent Lake tradition.

Best for: EPCOT-area location for less, Marriott points, quieter of the pair
