Walt Disney World Dolphin

TBD
Boat🚶 Walkable🚌 Bus

The big one: a 27-story pyramid flanked by giant dolphin statues, the Dolphin is the flagship of the Marriott-run trio on the EPCOT lake, operating under the Sheraton flag. It's the liveliest of the three, with the lion's share of the shared campus dining (Shula's Steak House, Todd English's bluezoo, Rosa Mexicano) and a busy lobby scene at Phins cocktail bar. The location is the same superpower as the Swan: walk or boat to both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, with early park entry included. It hosts big conventions, so weekday crowds skew business travelers, which often means excellent weekend rates. Marriott points work here, and the resort fee applies. For value hunters who want the EPCOT resort area, it's frequently the cheapest way in.

🛏️ The Rooms

Rooms mirror the Swan's clean modern standard with Heavenly Beds, in a bigger tower that hosts conventions, so weekday deals appear when meetings are light. Higher floors on the lake side catch EPCOT and Hollywood Studios fireworks at once. Families note: it is a large hotel with long corridors, so ask for rooms near elevators.

The Lobby & Grounds

The Dolphin's lobby got a sleek modern refresh under its founding postmodern shell, all light wood and a soaring geometric ceiling. The rotunda's Fuel coffee shop hums from early morning. Outside, the causeway between the Swan and Dolphin crosses Crescent Lake's beach, and the boat dock sends Friendship boats to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT's back door.

🏊 Pools & Recreation

Same shared complex as the Swan: the grotto pool with its waterfall and slide, spring pools, whirlpools, the beach, and paddleboats. Add the Mandara Spa on the Dolphin side and a big fitness center. Between the pools and the lake path, an off day here does not feel like a compromise.

🍽️ Dining at Walt Disney World Dolphin

Shula's Steak House and Todd English's bluezoo anchor the fancy end, Rosa Mexicano brings tableside guacamole, and the Fountain scoops the best milkshakes in the neighborhood. Fuel handles grab and go. Combined with the Swan's spots and the walkable BoardWalk and EPCOT, you could eat differently every night for two weeks.

🎀 Mal's Tips

Watch for convention lull pricing, the Dolphin often undercuts the Swan for identical location. The Friendship boat from the shared dock is lovely, but walking to EPCOT is usually faster. Fireworks from a high lake side room means two shows at once, ask at check in.

Best for: EPCOT-area location for less, big dining lineup, great weekend rates
