Disney's Beach Club Resort
A breezy New England beach cottage resort whose trump card is Stormalong Bay: a three-acre sand-bottomed mini water park with a lazy river, whirlpools, a shipwreck water slide, and an actual sandy-bottom pool, universally considered the best resort pool at Disney World, and reason enough alone to book here. The location is the other superpower: EPCOT's International Gateway is a five-minute stroll (you walk into World Showcase between France and the UK), and Hollywood Studios is a boat or a pleasant walk away. Beaches & Cream, the tiny retro soda shop, serves the famous Kitchen Sink sundae. Rooms got a light, coastal refresh. For families who plan EPCOT-heavy trips, festival lovers especially, the Beach Club is the easiest sell on property.
🛏️ The Rooms
Rooms got a light coastal refresh: seafoam and sand tones, wainscoting, and beachy art, most sleeping five with a daybed. The building bends along Crescent Lake, so many rooms overlook water or the quiet gardens. Club level here is one of the more affordable ways into deluxe lounges if that is your thing. Beach Club Villas next door add studios through two bedrooms with the same pool privileges.
✨ The Lobby & Grounds
The lobby feels like a grand Cape Cod summer house: pale wood, wicker, a sand castle centerpiece, and light pouring in off the lake. It is calmer and brighter than the grand lodges, more linen than timber. The boardwalk promenade outside circles Crescent Lake, with the BoardWalk's lights across the water and EPCOT's Spaceship Earth peeking over the trees. Evening walks here are quietly one of the best free things at Disney World.
🏊 Pools & Recreation
Stormalong Bay is the reason people book this hotel: three acres of lazy river, whirlpools, a shipwreck slide across the way at the Yacht Club side, and an actual sandy bottom shallow end. It is universally called the best pool at Disney World and it is not close. There is also a quiet leisure pool for when the main event is too much, plus surrey bikes and boat rentals along the promenade.
🍽️ Dining at Beach Club Resort
Beaches & Cream is the star, a tiny 1950s soda fountain slinging the Kitchen Sink sundae and better than expected burgers. Cape May Cafe does a Minnie character breakfast and a seafood leaning dinner buffet. The real flex is the neighborhood: the BoardWalk's restaurants, the Yacht Club's steakhouse, and all of EPCOT's World Showcase dining are a stroll away.
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop

A tiny candy-striped soda fountain at the Beach Club, frozen charmingly in 1950, with a checkerboard floor, a jukebox, and burgers and fries, and famous far beyond its size for one menu item: the Kitchen Sink, eight scoops of ice cream buried under every topping in the house plus an entire can of whipped cream, delivered with flashing lights and a full-restaurant announcement. It serious-feeds four or more; ordering it for two is a rite of passage with witnesses. The regular sundaes (the No Way José peanut-butter situation especially) are superb in their own right, and the burgers are better than they need to be. It's tiny, so book ahead, or hit the takeout window for a cone by Stormalong Bay.

🎀 Mal's Tips
Walk into EPCOT through the International Gateway entrance at rope drop; you land steps from France and Remy's with a fraction of the front gate crowd. Book Beaches & Cream well ahead, the room is tiny. And bring pool shoes for Stormalong Bay, the sandy bottom is real sand.
