Epcot Festival of the Holidays 2026: Dates, Food, and How I Actually Plan My Day
If you are already searching for Epcot Festival of the Holidays 2026, you and I are the same kind of planner. This is my favorite festival of the year at Epcot, and it is the one I book flights around. Here is everything I know so far, plus the game plan I use every single December.
When Festival of the Holidays 2026 should run
Disney typically announces festival dates in late summer, so the official 2026 calendar is not out yet. But this festival has been very consistent: it opens in mid to late November, right around Thanksgiving week, and runs through December 30. Recent years have started between November 21 and November 29 and closed out on the 30th so Epcot can pivot to New Year's Eve.
So if you are booking now, plan on a window of roughly late November through December 30, 2026 and adjust once dates are confirmed. I will update this post the day they drop.
The Holiday Kitchens (the whole reason I go)
World Showcase fills with Holiday Kitchens serving seasonal plates from around the world. Menus shift slightly year to year, but these are the ones that keep coming back and the items I order on repeat:
- Yukon Holiday Kitchen (Canada): braised beef poutine. If I only eat one thing all day, it is this.
- Bavaria Holiday Kitchen (Germany): schnitzel with mushroom gravy and a potato dumpling. Extremely cozy.
- American Holiday Table: slow roasted turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce. Thanksgiving on a plate.
- Feast of the Three Kings: pernil style pork with rice and beans.
- Shi Wasu (Japan): sukiyaki beef over rice.
- Holiday Hearth Desserts: the Yule log and the peppermint treats.
- L'Chaim! Holiday Kitchen: potato latkes with applesauce.
Portions are small plates, so two people can realistically share six to eight items in an afternoon without tapping out. More of my splitting strategy lives over on the dining page.
The Cookie Stroll is worth your time
Five marked Holiday Kitchens each serve one featured cookie. Buy all five, get your Festival Passport stamped at each stop, and redeem the completed card for a bonus cookie at the final location. It is a fun excuse to walk the full loop of World Showcase, and it is genuinely the cheapest way to make a day feel like an event. Start at Canada and go counterclockwise so you finish near the exit.
Candlelight Processional
The Candlelight Processional runs nightly at the America Gardens Theatre with a celebrity narrator reading the Christmas story alongside a mass choir and full orchestra. Three shows a night, usually around 5:00, 6:45, and 8:15.
Two ways in:
- Dining packages. Book a participating restaurant and you get guaranteed seating. These open at the 60 day mark and the good times vanish fast. Set an alarm.
- Standby. Free with park admission, but you will want to line up 45 to 75 minutes early for popular narrators.
Narrator lineups are announced in the fall. If you have a dream narrator, stay flexible on which night you commit to.
My day-of plan
I treat this as a two visit festival. Morning visit for rides (Test Track, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After), then a break at the resort, then back around 3:00 for food and holiday storytellers.
Weekdays are noticeably calmer than Friday and Saturday. The first two weeks of December are my sweet spot: full festival, full decorations, and nowhere near Christmas week crowds. If you want a sample schedule, I keep one in my itinerary guide.
What I wear 🎄
Florida in December swings from 78 degrees at noon to 52 after dark, so I layer. A simple dress or tee with a cardigan or denim jacket I can tie around my bag is perfect. Red and green obviously, but a cream sweater with gingerbread accessories photographs beautifully against the Christmas tree near Spaceship Earth.
Ears wise, this is peak season for a holiday pair. Bow ears in plaid, anything with a little sparkle, or a Minnie bow in cranberry red. My favorites are rounded up on the ears page.
If you can swing it, book a resort with holiday decorating worth seeing. Wandering the Grand Floridian and Yacht Club lobbies after a festival day is one of my favorite free things to do. More on that in hotels.
See you in World Showcase. ✨
never miss a park update ✨
